Eric Conley

Eric Conley – Chairman

Eric L. Conley is the Vice President of Operations of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Conley has full P&L responsibility for Surgical Services, Non-Invasive, Invasive cardiology services, Cardiovascular Surgery and the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, Rehabilitation Services including Pt, OT Speech and Respiratory Therapy, the Gastroenterology Suites as well as partnering with other senior leadership on a major construction project (925,000 square ft. Outpatient Care Center)

Prior to Northwestern Memorial Hospital Eric held Senior Leadership positions at Doctor’s Community Hospital, and Franklin Square Hospital; a part of the seven hospital MedStar Health System in the Maryland Washington DC area. Eric has also held leadership positions with the Duke University Health System, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Eric’s management experience has included a broad range of clinical and support functions including physician practice management and Resident Clinic Operations.

Paul Woodard – Vice Chairman

Born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, Paul Woodard learned the meaning of a hard days work at his father’s industrial sheet metal shop. After high school, Paul attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN where he studied Hospitality and Tourism Management. During his tenor in college, he fueled his passion for the restaurant industry by completing two internships – Portillos Restaurant Group and Medinah Country Club. Soon after graduating with honors, Paul landed his first position in the restaurant industry with Restaurant Development Group in Chicago. After two years, Paul began to look for a more challenging position at firmly established, high volume, and well-known restaurant. He found everything he was searching for at Mike Ditka’s Restaurant. In the past eight years, Paul has climbed the ranks and invested to become the Managing Partner. In 2008, Paul completed his academic goal by earning his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Mario Bumbaca

Mario Bumbaca – Board Member

Mario Bumbaca is the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Radisson Hotel Chicago O’Hare. A native of Chicago, Mario graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts. In his early career, he worked at WMAQ NBC TV on the Today In Chicago show. He has been working in the hotel industry since 1985 in a variety of managerial positions and locations for various hotel brands and companies as a Director of Sales, General Manager, and as a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. He is also very active with a number of local business associations, networking events and is Chair of the Technology/Website Committee and also serves on the Events Committee.

Christian Hansen

Christian Hansen – Board Member

Chris Hansen is the General Manager for Loews Chicago Hotel, a position he has held for the past two years. Chris joined the Loews Chicago pre-opening team in April 2014 to prepare for the grand opening of the downtown Streeterville Hotel on March 2, 2015. Under Chris’ leadership just 24 days after opening, the hotel had its first sell out. Chris is a second-generation hotelier who began working in hotels at the age of 16 at the renowned Waldorf=Astoria in NY, NY. Prior to Loews Hotels, he spent the majority of career with Hilton Hotels & Resorts working across the country in New York, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, Washington D.C. and Phoenix. Most recently in Chicago, he managed the Palmer House and the Conrad Chicago. A native New Yorker and New York Giants football fan, Chicago has been home to Chris, his wife Shannon and their five children (Dane and Erik – 17, Kayla – 15, Olivia – 8 and CJ – 5 ½) for the past 17 years.

Herb Ritchell – Board Member

Herb is an educator and marketing communications consultant. He is director of the Advertising & Public Relations program at Loyola University’s School of Communication at the Water Tower campus. He also directs their internship program.

A native Chicagoan, he previously held senior leadership positions with Edelman Public Relations, Navistar, Ogilvy & Mather, and First Chicago. He’s directed advertising & public relations programs for a variety of organizations including Motorola, Apple, General Motors, Chicago Tribune and the Boy Scouts of America. Herb is a graduate of the University of Illinois-Urbana and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Mark Shouger
Mark Shouger – Board Member

Mark spent his career in the hotel industry before joining Ronald McDonald House in 2013. A Florida native, Mark began his career with the Hyatt Hotels (in Orlando, Chicago, Milwaukee and Denver). After eleven years with Hyatt, Mark pursued other opportunities in the industry, including eight years with Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando. He returned to Chicago in 2009 for the role of the General Manager of theWit.

Mark joined Ronald McDonald House with a passion for the charity. He first learned of Ronald McDonald House over 15 years ago, when he and his hotel team would cook meals for families at the Orlando Houses. Ever since, he had been a volunteer and supporter of RMHC.

Mark has also served on the board of directors of the Illinois Hotel and Lodging Association, the NBC 5 Community Action Board as well as the executive committee of the Chicago LOOP Alliance.
